# Slack

> Connect Webflow to Slack so you can DM Slackbot or the Webflow agent, or tag @Webflow in a channel, to manage sites, CMS content, and SEO from Slack.

Webflow connects to Slack through Slackbot and the Webflow agent, both powered by Webflow's MCP server. Use them to manage your sites, run SEO updates, and publish CMS content without leaving Slack. Webflow for Slack is also listed as an app in the [Webflow Marketplace](https://webflow.com/apps/detail/slack).

Slackbot and the Webflow agent each need to be connected separately, though both support the same Webflow capabilities:

* **DM Slackbot** — Generally available and free to use.
* **DM or mention `@Webflow`** — Available in public beta.

## Installing the Webflow app in Slack

A Workspace admin needs to install the Webflow app in Slack once before anyone can connect their account.

#### Install the app

Go to the [Webflow app listing](https://webflow.com/apps/detail/slack) in the Webflow Marketplace and click **Install App**.

#### Allow access in Slack

Choose the Slack Workspace to install Webflow into and click **Allow**.

#### Confirm installation

Once installed, Webflow is available Workspace-wide.

## Connecting your Webflow account

#### Start the connection

In any Slack channel, type `/webflow connect`.

#### Choose which integration to connect

Click **Connect for Slackbot** (next to "Slackbot + Webflow MCP") to DM Slackbot directly, or **Connect for the agent** (next to "@Webflow agent (Beta)") to use `@Webflow` in channels and threads.

#### Continue in your browser

Slack opens a browser window to complete authorization.

#### Sign in to Webflow

Sign in to your Webflow account if you're prompted to do so.

#### Authorize access

Check **I recognize and trust this URL** and click **Continue**.

#### Select sites

Choose the Webflow sites you want to authorize (only sites you have access to are shown) and click **Authorize app**.

#### Return to Slack

Close the browser window and return to Slack.

> **Connect both integrations for full coverage**
>
> Slackbot and the Webflow agent are connected independently. Repeat these steps for the other integration if you want both direct messages and `@Webflow` channel mentions.

## Using Webflow in Slack

#### DM Slackbot or the Webflow agent

Start a direct message and describe what you need in plain language. Try prompts like:

```
List all my collections and show me their field structures
```

```
Audit my site for broken links, missing alt text, and incomplete meta descriptions
```

```
Update the meta title on my pricing page
```

For example, if a question comes up in a Slack thread, you can DM Slackbot to check the CMS directly and it retrieves the answer using the Webflow MCP server.

![A Slack thread question answered by DMing Slackbot, which uses the Webflow Guide Tool and retrieves Webflow site and CMS data](/_fern-img/02005dd74f1aa0e2dd24ee81346a7dd4199f985e0f4dd933f06880d788059043.webp)

Slackbot can then draft and apply the fix, like adding a missing meta description, right from the conversation.

#### Tag @Webflow in a channel or thread

Bring `@Webflow` into any channel or thread to act on your sites as a team. The agent reads the thread for context before acting, and drops a review link back into the thread so your team can approve changes before they publish.

> **Info**
>
> The Webflow agent is currently in public beta and free to use. [AI credits](https://help.webflow.com/hc/en-us/articles/51060121155347-Webflow-AI-credits) will apply to non-Slackbot workflows once it's generally available. Use during the beta is subject to Webflow's [Beta Program Terms](https://webflow.com/legal/beta-terms).
