# Getting started

> Install and configure Webflow's MCP server and AI tools

The Webflow MCP server connects your AI agent directly to your Webflow projects.
Webflow provides plugins that connect several popular agents directly to the MCP server, and you can also connect agents to the MCP server manually.

Then, you can authorize your agent to access your sites and start building with natural language prompts.

## Setup overview

The installation process takes about 5 minutes and includes:

1. **Configure your AI tool** - Add the Webflow connector to Claude Desktop, the Webflow plugin to Cursor, or add the MCP server manually to other tools like Claude Code or Windsurf
2. **Authorize sites** - Connect the MCP server to your Webflow account via OAuth
3. **Start prompting** - Use natural language to interact with your sites

## Prerequisites

* An AI client: Instructions are provided for some popular clients but you can manually connect any agent that supports MCP servers
* A Webflow account with at least one site that you can access

## Install in your AI tool

Select your AI tool for step-by-step installation instructions:

#### [Claude Desktop](/mcp/installing/claude-desktop)

Install Webflow's MCP server using the Claude Desktop connector or a manual configuration.

#### [Claude Code](/mcp/installing/claude-code)

Add the MCP server to Claude Code with the `claude mcp add` command.

#### [Cursor](/mcp/installing/cursor)

Install the Webflow Cursor plugin or configure the MCP server manually.

#### [Postman](/mcp/installing/postman)

Connect to the Webflow MCP server from the Postman AI agent.

#### [Windsurf](/mcp/installing/windsurf)

Add the Webflow MCP server to your Windsurf configuration file.

> **MCP Bridge App installation**
>
> The MCP Bridge App installs automatically during OAuth authorization. It's not available on the public Webflow App marketplace.

## Connecting to the MCP server manually

If Webflow does not provide a connector or plugin for your agent, or if you want to connect to the MCP server manually, you can use the server URL `https://mcp.webflow.com/mcp`.

## Other Webflow MCP servers

In addition to the main MCP server, Webflow provides these servers:

#### [Documentation server](/mcp/installing/documentation-server)

Connect directly to the documentation MCP server to query Webflow's developer documentation.

#### [Beta server](/mcp/installing/beta)

Try in-development functionality on the Webflow Beta MCP server.
