POST /items
Rich Text field values can contain Webflow component instances as <wf-component> markup — see Components in Rich Text for the markup grammar, how to find component and property IDs, and the write constraints.
Create Item(s) in a Collection.
This endpoint remains supported. New integrations should use Create Items, which accepts both request shapes below and can create an item in several locales under one ID. This guide to creating items shows how each shape maps.
This endpoint accepts two request shapes, and a request must use one or the other:
- Single item — send
fieldDataat the top level. SetcmsLocaleIdto create the item in a specific locale. - Multiple items — send an
itemsarray with at least one entry. Each entry needs its ownfieldData, and can set its owncmsLocaleId,isDraft, andisArchived. The API ignores any other property on an entry.
A request that carries both fieldData and items returns a 400.
To create an item in several locales under one ID, use Create Items.
